Back when I worked in a call center, people on the other end used to compliment my Southern accent. The funny part? I wasn’t even laying it on thick.  I thought I was being professional. Turns out my “professional” still had just enough drawl to give me away. And when I do crank it up for fun, I can rattle off the most redneck things: “How many youngin’s you got? Is that them over yonder? I could just eat that baby up! I’m fixin’ to run to Jay-an-nem’s for supper.”

There’s a  certain sound that comes with owning a MinPin. It’s the fast tap-tap-tap of tiny paws on the floor, made by a dog that lives life at top speed.

If you had told me a few months ago that my small, cozy home was about to get a high-energy puppy, I would have thought you were crazy. But then Rocky showed up. My boyfriend Jay and our grandson Kingston brought him home, and honestly? I never saw it coming. It didn't take long for this little terror to steal my heart, though. Life hasn't been the same since.
